Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Executive/Senior Executive/Assistant Manager for Packaging Materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of packaging materials, including procurement, vendor management, cost monitoring, and coordination with various departments to ensure a smooth supply chain for packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Generate and manage Purchase Orders (PO) for packaging materials in the ERP system.
- Vendor Selection and Management:
- Evaluate and select vendors based on their capability, availability of raw materials, and quotes.
- Collaborate with QA and management to identify and finalize new vendors.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best terms and manage ongoing vendor relationships.
- Cost Monitoring and Finalization:
- Monitor daily costs of all raw materials related to packaging.
- Finalize the cost of packaging materials and provide this information to the costing department for product costing.
- Product Launch Support:
- Assist the PPIC (Production Planning and Inventory Control) team in determining the quantity of packaging materials required for new product launches.
- Initiate actions to ensure a smooth supply of packaging materials during new product launches.
- Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve issues related to packaging materials, such as rejections, specification discrepancies, supply issues, and warehouse concerns.
- Site Visits:
- Conduct regular visits to the plant to follow up on vendor issues, oversee new developments, and ensure effective coordination.
Qualifications and Skills:
- B.Sc/M.Sc/B.Pharma
- Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and cost control.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for site visits as required.
