Micro Labs Limited API-R&D Centre, a prominent name in the pharmaceutical sector, is actively seeking highly skilled and motivated professionals for Synthesis roles within its Chemical Research Division. Located in Jigani, Bangalore, these urgent vacancies are crucial for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API).
We are looking to fill two positions with candidates holding an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, across two distinct experience brackets:
1. Synthesis Role (0-3 Years Experience):
Candidates for this entry-level position should possess a strong foundational knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing hands-on laboratory experiments.
- Meticulous documentation of experiments and observations in laboratory notebooks.
- Interpreting analytical results and maintaining organized analytical records.
- Conducting experimental trials for feasibility and optimization of designed Routes of Synthesis (RoS) for API molecules.
- Strict adherence to all safety requirements within the laboratory and workplace.
2. Synthesis Role (6-10 Years Experience):
This senior role requires extensive experience and leadership capabilities. In addition to a comprehensive understanding of synthetic organic chemistry, responsibilities encompass:
- Thorough literature searches for API molecules, focusing on RoS, polymorphs, and analytical methods.
- Designing innovative Routes of Synthesis for API, impurities, and reference standards.
- Developing non-infringing synthetic processes based on literature and raw material availability, including polymorph studies.
- Planning and guiding daily activities for team members involved in feasibility studies, optimization, and lab validation.
- Optimizing feasible routes and developing processes suitable for scale-up.
- Coordinating closely with the Analytical Research and Development (ARD) team for method development, in-process analysis, and reference standards qualification.
- Performing lab validation and preparing essential technology transfer documents and development history reports.
- Ensuring rigorous compliance with all safety protocols.
