About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Chemist to join our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for executing API manufacturing operations, ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant regulatory requirements. This position involves hands-on production, meticulous documentation, and upholding high safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Operations:
- Execute all stages of API manufacturing processes, including charging, reactions, distillation, filtration, centrifugation, drying, milling, and packing.
- Continuously monitor and accurately record critical process parameters during batch execution.
- Operate and oversee various production equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, ANFDs, and dryers.
- Ensure strict adherence to Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and production schedules to meet output targets.
- Documentation & GMP Compliance:
- Maintain, review, and ensure the accuracy of Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), Batch Packing Records (BPR), equipment logbooks, and cleaning records.
- Prepare, review, and maintain General Log Records (GLR); generate and verify Shift Summary Reports (SSR) for daily production activities.
- Guarantee full compliance with cGMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct thorough line clearance and document verification prior to initiating any batch production.
- Actively support deviation investigations, implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), manage change controls, and ensure timely incident reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: B.Sc in Chemistry, B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical, or MS/M.Sc(Science) in Chemistry.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in API manufacturing or a similar pharmaceutical production environment is essential.
