A prominent pharmaceutical company, Cipla, is actively recruiting for two vital roles within its operations: an API QC Microbiologist and an Electrical Engineer.
For the API QC Microbiologist position, candidates are preferred to hold an M.Sc. in Microbiology and possess a minimum of one year of experience in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) processes.
The Electrical Engineer role requires a B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, coupled with at least two years of relevant experience in API electrical engineering. This position is integral to the Engineering Maintenance & Reliability Team. The primary objective is to execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal breakdowns and maximum operational efficiency, all while strictly adhering to safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
Key responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer include managing shift maintenance, diagnosing faults, and overseeing equipment repairs. The role supports comprehensive maintenance plans by scheduling preventive maintenance, calibrations, and condition monitoring, meticulously documenting all activities. Prompt breakdown maintenance is crucial to maintain continuous operations and involves managing critical spares inventory to reduce resolution times.
Successful candidates will ensure efficient equipment operation in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), implement new technologies to boost performance, and manage activities within allocated budgets. Upholding high standards of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and cGMP compliance is paramount, requiring diligent online documentation and regular training. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes, and identifying areas for energy conservation.
Candidates for the Electrical Engineer position should demonstrate strong technical expertise in pharmaceutical/API machinery, practical experience in executing greenfield or brownfield projects, and leadership abilities in electrical engineering. The role comes with challenges such as budget adherence, managing ageing assets, and enhancing team competence, demanding a proactive and skilled professional dedicated to operational excellence.
