Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex discovery chemistry projects from conceptualization to successful delivery.
- Drive scientific strategy, foster innovation, and ensure the highest standards of research execution and data integrity.
- Mentor, guide, and develop a team of high-performing chemists, cultivating a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Collaborate effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams and external global stakeholders to achieve project milestones and exceed customer expectations.
- Contribute to the strategic design, synthesis, and optimization of novel chemical entities for various therapeutic targets.
- Ensure rigorous data analysis, insightful interpretation, and compelling presentation of scientific findings.
Qualifications:
- Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry is required.
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of progressive experience in discovery chemistry, preferably gained within a pharmaceutical or contract research organization (CRO) setting.
- Expertise: Proven expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanism, and modern medicinal chemistry principles.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience in managing scientific projects and effectively leading diverse teams.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving acumen, a passion for driving innovation in drug discovery, and excellent analytical skills.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and with global partners.
