About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Formulation and Development Specialist, with a primary focus on injectable products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the entire product development lifecycle, from initial pre-formulation studies to successful tech transfer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing safe, effective, and compliant sterile injectable formulations, contributing directly to our pipeline of innovative medicines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on development of various sterile injectable products, including solution, lyophilized, complex, and suspension formulations.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-formulation studies to assess drug substance properties and guide formulation strategies.
- Execute formulation optimization experiments to achieve desired product characteristics and stability.
- Develop robust and scalable manufacturing processes for injectable products.
- Facilitate seamless technology transfer to manufacturing sites, providing necessary support and documentation.
- Prepare and review critical development reports, Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), protocols, and other essential regulatory documentation.
- Ensure all development activities strictly adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and aseptic manufacturing practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- 1 to 5 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical formulation and development, specifically with sterile injectable dosage forms.
- Proven expertise in the development of various injectable formulations (solutions, lyophilized, complex, and suspensions).
- Strong understanding of pre-formulation, formulation optimization, and process development principles.
- Proficiency in preparing scientific documentation, including development reports, BMRs, and protocols.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and practical experience with cGMP, GLP, and aseptic manufacturing environments.
