About the Opportunity:
We are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Production Chemist – Executive for our production facility in Achutapuram, Visakhapatnam. This role is crucial for executing manufacturing operations, ensuring stringent adherence to quality and safety protocols, and contributing to the efficient output of our pharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager or Production In-Charge and play a vital role in our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute API and intermediate manufacturing activities as per Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate and monitor production equipment, including reactors, centrifuges, filters, and dryers, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Oversee process parameters meticulously and maintain accurate production records for compliance and traceability.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines such as cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), GDP (Good Documentation Practices), EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), SOPs, and all safety requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with inter-departmental teams including Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Engineering, and Warehouse to ensure smooth workflow.
- Support troubleshooting, investigations into process deviations, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a production environment, with a strong preference for API, intermediate, or chemical manufacturing.
- Location: Achutapuram, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
- Work Schedule: Willingness and ability to work in rotational shifts, including night duties.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in API and intermediate manufacturing is highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of fundamental chemical processes, including chemical reactions, filtration, drying, and crystallization techniques.
- Prior experience with cGMP, BMRs, GDP, EHS, and standard SOPs is essential.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, MS Excel) for documentation and reporting.
- A high degree of willingness to adapt to and perform effectively in rotating shifts, including night duties.
- Immediate availability for joining is preferred.
