We are seeking highly motivated Research Associates in Custom Synthesis, with over 10 immediate openings. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate organic chemists ready to independently manage synthesis projects from initial planning to final purification and characterization. Key Responsibilities:
As a Research Associate, your core responsibilities will include:
- Independently planning, setting up, monitoring, and working up chemical reactions.
- Efficiently isolating products and optimizing reaction conditions for improved yields.
- Purifying compounds using techniques like column chromatography, vacuum distillation, and crystallization.
- Characterizing synthesized compounds via advanced analytical methods such as Mass Spectrometry (MS) and 1H NMR spectroscopy.
- Conducting comprehensive literature searches (e.g., SciFinder) and preparing detailed technical reports.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):
- Education: A Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Organic Chemistry is required.
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience in organic synthesis. Prior experience within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong practical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a meticulous approach to experimental execution.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, capable of independent work and teamwork, with strong documentation and communication skills.
